Dear reader!

First of all, thank you for passing by, and visiting this campaign—the aim of which is to raise funds for an
upcoming project called “A Constant Departure”.

I thought instead of telling you about myself here or about the project, I would refer you to my website:

I have often become aware of misunderstandings connected with personal projects of this nature and for
this reason, I thought important to share this perspective.

A personal film for me, dives deep into the heart in order to reach the gems which are there hidden, and are supposed to be shared. That is the closest artistic manifestation of authenticity and it can be felt by others as an expression of their own hearts no matter where in the world the might be.

In Persian (farsi) there is an expression which says:

هر آنچه از دل بر آید به دل نشیند

- HARANCHE AZ DEL BAR AYAAD, BAAR DEL NESHINAD -

“What arises from the heart will arrive to the heart.”

And as humanity is one, getting a glimpse of one person’s soul through heartfelt expression is the same as
feeling and understanding our own shared humanity. Despite all apparent differences, we are much closer to each other than we can imagine.

“A Constant Departure” is not about me …
It is, however, about memory, narrated from the feelings experienced through facing the absence of my
beloved brother whose departure from this world happened in a sudden way and under unusual
circumstances.

"A Constant Departure” is not about my country (Iran), but it is about home. And leaving my homeland.
It is about migration. And, it is about uprooting.

"A Constant Departure” it is not a political or historical portrait of Iran. It does, however, include an
historical event which took place in 1983.
