Making a dying wish come true for Dad

All our life our Dad has always supported us through the good, bad and the down right horrible. No matter what our Dad was always there for us for anything we may have needed or wanted, his life is us 3 kids.

So finding out we may only have our Dad for another 2-6months thanks to the horrible C word. I cannot imagine how he feels and no matter what’s thrown at him, he’s always strong and positive. Cancer has rocked our worlds and completely turned it upside down.

Dad can no longer work as his terminally ill and after two liver surgeries to remove most of his liver due to the cancer spread, the Doctors can no longer do anything for him and Dad just has to take the path he’s been given as shit as it is, as he’s the last person who deserves something like this.

Due to personal reasons and separated families Dad has never in my 29 years been away or done something with all three of his kids in tow.

So we’ve decided with his borrowed time on Earth to try and get away for a week to Tasmania (where Dad grew up and has very strong memories).

Unfortunately timing isn’t on our side and we’re really unsure of how long we have (just to put into perspective how aggressive his cancer actually is- just two weeks ago he had a follow up appointment where has was perfectly fine. Two weeks later and it’s taking over). We’re heartbroken and lost for words but also blessed to have had this incredibly strong man in our lives- even more proud to call this soldier OUR DAD

Any money raised will go towards the expenses to have Dad live out his only dream and bucket list- to spend quality time with his kids away from the hospitals and constant doctors appointments just for a little bit before he gets to sick and weak!

I would also personally love to keep all of those updated on my blog as I’ll be using this as my escape and outlet and hopefully connecting to people who are or have gone through the horrible trauma that is cancer...
We love you Dad and promise to stay strong when you can’t and help fight your battles until the end
