Makin’ Treble’s Path to ICCA Semifinals

We are Makin’ Treble, an All-treble-voiced a cappella group, founded in 2010. Our group consists of twenty-two talented, kind, and supportive individuals who share a passion for singing and the unique sense of community that music brings. Since our formation, we’ve had the privilege of competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) since 2016, and in 2021, we proudly placed third in our ICCA quarterfinals.

We are thrilled to announce that, for the first time ever, we have secured 2nd place in our quarterfinals, earning a spot in the 2025 ICCA Northeast Semifinals, which will be held in Boston, Massachusetts! In addition, we were honored with awards for Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Singing Arrangement. With this incredible achievement, we now have the exciting opportunity to compete at the Semifinals level and aim for a spot in the Finals.

Our repertoire includes a diverse range of music, from Miley Cyrus to Stevie Nicks, and even Phineas and Ferb. Each of our arrangements is crafted by current members or alumni, showcasing our creativity and love for music. We proudly release our music on all streaming platforms, and this past September, we released “Begin Again,” an EP of our 2024 ICCA set.

We perform at a variety of events, including concerts, invitationals, and open houses, giving us invaluable experience in front of live audiences. These performances have fostered a close-knit, welcoming acapella community, and we’re thrilled to continue that tradition at the ICCAs.

As we prepare for the upcoming Semifinals, we are reaching out to our friends, family, and supporters to help us cover the costs associated with travel, lodging, and other expenses for this exciting journey. Your support will help us continue to showcase our talents, passion, and dedication to a cappella music, and we are so grateful for any contribution you can make.
