Pierce Athletics offers tumbling and cheerleading instruction to athletes ages 18 months to adult. Pierce Athletics began offering instruction in the fall of 2001. Since that time we have added a competitive tumbling program (Fall 2002) and a competitive cheerleading program (Spring 2005). We currently offer 40 different class times and have 208 registered athletes. We strive not only to offer tumbling and cheerleading instruction to our athletes, but to instill life values like team work, dependability and dedication.
This year our Junior Level 2 team received a Wild-Card Bid to the 2015 Summit. The Summit is an innovative, prestigious, competitive and unforgettable end of the year all levels experience. The Summit was created solely to provide a unique opportunity for youth, junior & senior teams in non-worlds divisions to have an end of the year event like no other. Only 10% of teams from across the country will make the cut and take the climb. Pierce Athletics Junior Level 2 team is taking the climb, but they need your help to reach the Summit.
The Pierce Athletics Junior team has 17 athletes ages seven to fourteen. These 17 athletes represent many different communities – Pearl City, Shannon, Dakota, Freeport, Forreston, Rock City, German Valley & Davis. These 17 athletes are dedicated, determined and worthy of going to The Summit, but they need your help financially.
Making it to the Summit has been the goal of our organization since the early plans of this event debuted in 2010. The Summit is located at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida from May 1-3, 2015. The cost of going to the Summit is high, but includes the following: transportation to and from Midway airport of $50 per athlete, roundtrip airfare from Chicago to Orlando of $268.20 per athlete, as well as the Summit event travel package costs of $602.00 per athlete (this package includes hotel accommodations, access to the Disney parks as well as ESPN's Wide World of Sports, event registration & competition fees, and all transportation while in Orlando). That brings the total cost to $920.20 per athlete to attend the Summit. This makes the grand total for the team of 17 athletes and two coaches to attend $17,483.80.
We are looking for sponsors to help us make this dream a reality. In being a sponsor, you will help 17 young athletes from the communities in our area come together to represent northwest Illinois & fulfill a goal that they along with many teams before them have been striving for.
