Following the announcement of a parliamentary by-election in Makerfield, I believe it is vital that voters have the option to support a candidate who is willing to challenge the government and stand up for local constituents.

My name is Daniel Clarke I am the organizer of this GoFundMe Campaign, I am raising these funds for myself in my capacity as The Libertarian Party Parliamentary Candidate for Makerfield By Election.

Labour have shown a clear disregard for the concerns and interests of the people of Makerfield, choosing instead to use them as a vehicle for the personal ambitions of Andy Burnham.

In a contest widely billed as a contest between Labour and Reform, it is crucial that voters are given a choice that rejects both socialism and nationalism, placing personal freedom at the forefront of principle and policy.

It is not an understatement to say that our civil liberties are at stake — from the erosion of the right to jury trials, to the expansion of facial recognition surveillance, and the growing reach of legislation such as the Online Safety Act. These developments set a dangerous precedent and must be challenged.

To stand as a candidate, the Libertarian Party is required to pay a £500 deposit. We also intend to leaflet the entire constituency, hence the total target of £1200. Every penny of the donations received will be spent on these two requirements : £500 for the official Candidate deposit , and £700 for the printing and distribution of campaign leaflets.

as the organizer and beneficiary, I will withdraw the donations directly from the GoFundMe into my dedicated campaign bank account to ensure all funds are used solely for these purposes .
