Help Makenzy Canze (Watson) Knock Cancer Out!

Hello everyone. The Watson and Canze family needs your prayer and support!

A bright smile, a friendly wave, or a burst of contagious laughter are ways we have come to know and love Makenzy Canze (Watson). She is Doug and Judy Watson's daughter, wife to Jason Canze, and mother of three beautiful girls, Zoey (10), Bailey (7), and Ivy (4).

As many of you may know, Makenzy has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has been going through a journey of medical appointments, surgeries, and recovery. The family is grateful to have some of the best care providers at the University of Michigan accompanying them throughout this process.

On Monday, September 12, Makenzy underwent a 9-hour surgery for a double breast mastectomy with reconstruction. The following day she had complications and unfortunately went back into surgery (another 5 hours), in which she was given 2 pints of blood. 

Makenzy continues to recover, and we are hopeful she will be released today, Sunday, so she can start her journey to recovery back home in Croswell.

The family is enormously grateful for the outpouring of support from the entire community of family and friends, along with the multitude of calls, visits, and words of encouragement.

As this journey continues, many medical costs will continue to increase. While insurance will cover a small portion of these, the expenses continue to rise.

This forum serves as an opportunity for family and friends to offer support through financial contributions during this time, with all proceeds going directly to the family. While so many have reached out with care and concern on how they can help, we ask that a contribution is provided, along with prayer, as this will be the absolute best way to assist Makenzy, Jason, and their three girls.
