Help Makenzie Stewart Recover from Severe Sepsis and Surgery Complications

Recently, Makenzie Stewart was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain that was soon discovered to be a perforated appendix. What should have been a routine procedure quickly turned serious when doctors found gangrene and severe sepsis had set in.

Makenzie spent time in the ICU fighting a dangerous infection and has undergone multiple follow-up procedures, including CT scans and drain placements to manage complications. After over a week in the hospital, she was finally discharged—but unfortunately, she has now been readmitted for a third drain placement as her recovery continues.

This unexpected medical crisis has taken a heavy toll, both physically and financially. We are raising funds to help cover:
