VERB // Protest: “to declare (something) firmly and emphatically in the FACE of or RESPONSE to.” That is the heart of #makenoiseforfloyd. We are EMPHATICALLY expressing that the actions taken against George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and countless others are NOT acceptable. We will no longer allow these monstrosities. We demand accountability. We demand reformation. We demand change. To do that, we need the black community to shine, people of color to stand up and we need the white community to listen, learn and lean in to the movement. That’s why we make noise. To shake the walls. To change perspectives. to reshape history.
#MakeNoiseForFloyd (#MNFF) is a music-powered protest and march set to take place on July 4th, 2020. Kicking off with a march, MNFF will promote making noise to make a change. We are bringing artists together to demand justice and pay respect to those who have lost their lives to racism and police brutality.
