Makenna's Greece Mission Fund

Hey!! My name is Makenna and I’m from Cayce, South Carolina. Let me provide a little backstory about myself! I surrendered my life to Jesus at 19 and over the last five years have grown in my personal relationship with the Lord, largely due to His goodness and faithfulness in constantly revealing His character to me and the community of family, friends, and church family that have surrounded and continue to surround me. I’ve become confident that the Lord is calling me to full time ministry and am currently praying through where that calling is. One option I’ve looked into is Missions.

In May of 2023, the Lord was very gracious and provided the opportunity to serve a missionary family in Athens, Greece with the college ministry at First Baptist Church in Columbia. The experience was life changing to say the least! Last year, we helped the family with some renovation work in their gathering space called “The Bunker” in a little village near Athens and assisted with mapping out the area to help the family figure out how to best utilize the Bunker to do outreach. This Summer, I will be returning with a team from FBC to continue our partnership with this family, assisting them with events they will be having, and creating a safe space for Gospel conversations to be had.

The total cost of the trip for me is $1650 and I would love and appreciate your consideration in partnering with me and my church as we continue fostering our relationships with the missionary family and the people of Greece.
