Makele's Tuition to Berklee Year 3

2018 Update: I am now starting my 3rd year at Berklee. Thanks to all who have donated and made it possible for me to attend Berklee for 2 years. In order to continue my education at Berklee, I need to raise more money for tuition. Therefore, I have raised my donation goal in order to continue accepting donations for the current school year.

I did it!!!!! I was accepted into Berklee College of Music, my #1 school choice. I just graduated from Chicago High School for the Arts! I'm on top of the world and ready to start my new journey, which will allow me to focus on and further develop what I do best...CREATE MUSIC!
But then the tuition bills arrived!!!
I am Makele Clemmons, the second oldest of 5 children. My oldest brother is currently a junior at CalArts. My family has made so many sacrifices to help my brother and I acheive our goals, but now must manage paying two very expensive tuition bills simultaneously.
The cost of Berklee College of Music is $67,000 per year. I have received some financial aid and scholarships, but not enough to cover my cost of attendance. To further reduce cost, I will be living off campus and renting a room instead. My parents have both taken on additional side jobs to raise more money. My oldest brother has also reduced expenses by taking on several jobs and still manages to maintain "perfect" grades. I will be street performing all summer to futher reduce expenses. Despite all of our efforts, the combination of BOTH tuition bills is well beyond our family budget.
I am asking for YOUR help! No donation is too small! No contribution is too small. It takes a VILLAGE to raise a child!
