Make-A-Wish for Callan

On behalf of the Gaita/Moore family I have created this gofundme to help Callan still get his wish after the family was devastatingly told that Callan's Make-A-Wish donation had been cancelled because of Covid. Please help Callan still get the trip of his dreams! Please read Callan's story here:
Callan-the name means “brave little battler”. When I chose that name for my son, I had no idea just how true it would become. Since birth, Callan has bravely battled his congenital heart disease with the strength of a mighty warrior. When Callan was just 7 days old, he had open heart surgery to fix life threatening defects and he stayed in the NICU for 28 days before we were able to bring our baby home. After bringing our baby home, his recovery was remarkable. Callan was off all medications, growing, and thriving as an active young boy. Each appointment showed more and more improvement and doctors told us we were done with surgeries!! Then when Callan was seven, things suddenly changed and we found ourselves facing another surgery. Although it was unexpected, the surgery was a success and once again we thought the worst was behind us. We were wrong! A short 18 months later, we faced the hardest surgery yet. After a call from his doctor, we rushed Callan to the hospital for surgery to put a pacemaker in, leaving our daughter with family for 10 long days. This one was hard! It was scary, it was painful, and it was traumatic. A pacemaker meant so many things that Callan could no longer do and it meant more surgeries in our future. Over the last 9 years, this brave boy has been poked, prodded, scanned, put under anesthesia, and scarred more than any child should have to be and through it all his positive and sweet spirit has shined through! After his last surgery, he was referred to Make A Wish and was granted the trip of his dreams to Disney World. Because of COVID, Callan has been waiting for this trip for 18 months and this month his trip was officially cancelled due to COVID. Callan deserves his dream trip, full of magic and hope!
The funds will be used for travel expenses including flights for the family of four, hotel arrangements, tickets to the parks, and other necessities for the trip. the family is hoping to schedule this trip sometime between summer and early fall. It would be great if they could get their reservations for flights and hotels soon before prices skyrocket as travel opens up. It would be wonderful to give our sweet Callan and his sister some fun spending money as well. Thank you for considering a donation for this very caring and deserving family who have all been through so much, especially with trying to keep Callan safe and healthy this past year! I know the whole family will be so grateful for any help they receive.
