Dear Family,
We are going through some very trying times. All of us are being affected. The decisions being made, while probably necessary, have had a tremendous adverse effect on our local economy. The family we have come to love at American Social are one of those hit tremendously hard.
As you all know, these people have become some of my closest friends and family over the last 5 years.
I am setting up this GoFundMe to assist all the non-salaried individuals that work at American Social Las Olas to ensure they can continue to keep their lights on and be able to put food on their table.
We hope and pray that this is a short term problem but 30 days without income is very difficult for anyone as you can imagine.
These guys have busted their humps making sure that your reservations are handled, wonderful food is prepared, drinks are served and sparklers come with each popped bottle.
I have set a goal for $35,000. That's $700 for each of the 50 employees that have no income at all right now. Along with the government assistance program hopefully that will help bridge the gap until the doors can be opened again.
I am going to start the donation with $5000 personally. Any donations above that between now and April 13th I will also match dollar for dollar until the goal is met.
I know that everyone is nervous and concerned, but this is when family need each other most. Please give something if you can. If you cannot please share this with others gratuitously. Let social media do its thing.
