From a Mother’s Heart

Before my daughters and I moved to the United States from Brazil in 2014, it was my dream to see them grow into strong, amazing women.

My oldest daughter, Vitória, came with me at just 12 years old. From the very beginning, Vitória loved to dance—I could feel her moving to a rhythm even before she was born.

In 2014, we were truly blessed when the Boston Ballet offered her a full scholarship. With dedication, excitement, and countless hours of hard work, Vitória’s talent was recognized, and she was invited to perform in The Nutcracker, a beloved Boston tradition.

For the next eight years, Vitória danced at the Boston Ballet School in Newton, lighting up the stage each holiday season. The little girl I once held in my arms, twirling in our small apartment, is now a beautiful young woman—and it’s time to turn the page.

As parents, we give everything we have for our children—our time, our energy, and often our last dollar—hoping to help them become the best version of themselves. Coming to the United States wasn’t easy. We didn’t have much, but we had faith, and we had dreams. Many days were a struggle, but we kept going.

Now, that same little girl is getting married. On Saturday, June 7th, 2025, Vitória will say “I do” to Pedro, the love of her life.

As a mother, I’ve dreamed of this moment—her wedding day, her big day. The day she’ll remember for the rest of her life. We all dream of what our children’s wedding day might look like. Some of us try to save for it, but life doesn’t always make that easy—especially with the rising costs of venues, food, music, and everything in between.

So, it’s with humility and love that I share this message, encouraged by many long-time clients and friends who’ve asked how they might help.
