If we haven't had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Esther Marie. I'm an author living in southern California and just recently finished writing a book called, 'Single Shouldn't Suck' and I need your help!

 

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather pluck all my eyebrows out than read another self-help book on singleness. They all start to blend together with the same redundant message on ‘finding the one’, ‘5 steps to get the guy’ or ‘10 prayers for your future spouse’. Early on in my single years, I was searching for significance just as fervently as I was searching for a soulmate. I desperately wanted someone to tell me my season mattered, rather than pat me on the back and tell me to keep being patient. There were few books I felt I could truly relate to or that spoke to the desires I had both for marriage and living my singleness to its fullest. So almost nine years ago, I decided to do something about it.

 

Bored with the status quo of dating culture, I set out on a mission to experience the adventure in singleness and document every part of it. I thought: what if singlehood wasn’t just a stepping stone to marriage? What if it has a purpose all of its own that’s meant just for me? What if having a hyper-focus on searching for ‘the one’ or trying to become ‘the one’ is getting in the way of my own journey of self-discovery? I had a lot of questions and a curiosity to live a story worth telling to change the narrative on singleness. So I did. I lived it and wrote all about it.

 

On February 14th, 2022, the Single Shouldn't Suck book will be launched into the world, but not without first going through a simulation of intense production that comes with a hefty price tag.

 

In partnership with The Fedd Agency to produce my book, I need to cover the cost of editorial services, typesetting, interior design, cover design, production costs, ebook set up, audiobook production, and a bunch of other publishing jargon that will make your head spin.
