My name is Eileen . I’m raising funds for the materials needed to build a wheelchair ramp for my dear friend Tamie Steven’s.
Tamie’s left leg was amputated above the knee on February 2, 2026. She is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation facility for a couple more weeks . When she leaves there she wants to go home to her cat Maple who hasn’t seen her in over a month. She will have several more weeks of intense physical therapy to strengthen her upper body and as soon as all the swelling is gone she’ll be fitted for a prosthesis. However , she will have to wait some time before she receives and is able to use this device. Until that happens she will need to use a wheelchair to get around the house and to doctors appointments and therapy . She lives in a mobile home, so her front door is pretty high off the ground . Her friends , Luke Balin and Jason Minoa ,both carpenters , have volunteered their time and their skills to build a ramp for Tamie so she can go home . Because the trailer is so high off the ground and also in a very cramped trailer park , the ramp is going to have to run the length of the trailer and back up to the door so that the incline is not too steep . We need materials and / or the funds to buy materials .
The things we need are listed below . The approximate cost of these things ,plus some slip resistant liner and fuel to pick up lumber and shop for whatever else is necessary is $1500-$1800

Any materials listed above that you may have laying around would help us tremendously. As would any dollar amount you could donate to the cause . Our goal is to have the ramp built by April 1st , when Tamie is expected to be coming home .
