Renaming the Bucket List to the F*ck it List!

UPDATE: Wow! The generosity shown so far has been simply amazing and heartwarming. The wish for a dream vacation will be granted. I asked Susan if there was anything else she was wishing for and she said that her other wish was to be able to complete a list of home improvements that have been on her mind for a long time. In her always selfless style, she told us that if she was going to be leaving, she wanted to know that her home was as perfect as possible for her family. So, please continue to give and celebrate Susan and her family. Together we will provide them with a great getaway and grant Susan peace of mind that her house will be the home she is striving for.

Hello friends and fans of Susan, Perry, Aaron and Evan. For a bit over a year and a half, we have cheered on, prayed for and sent love to Susan as she battles aggressive and incurable ovarian cancer. She has been so amazing – calm, loving, working, and continuing to care for her family as she always has. But cancer is an asshole and despite the world class care Susan is receiving, the asshole continues to evolve and render treatments ineffective. Susan’s team continues to review and identify options but currently she is going off chemo while the team evaluates and sets a plan for future care.

Aaron recently asked his mom what was on her bucket list (which, with your help, we will rename the f*ck-it list). Susan realized she wanted to take a special family vacation. They always dreamt about a tropical vacation as a family, and right now is absolutely the time.

This is happening fast and while they can find a way to afford some kind of vacation, they would need to pinch some pennies and scrimp on some activities. So, our wish for them is for them to take this bucket list wish trip and be able to say “F*ck it!” to cost; to have the freedom to fulfil dreams, build important memories as a family, and spoil themselves (if you know Susan, you know she never, ever spoils herself – always putting others first). Money should not be the thing that stops them from making this the trip of a lifetime. It’s time for a dream to become reality.

You’ve all reached out at some point to ask how you can help. Susan is not used to accepting help (she is the one always giving help) so there have been few opportunities to help thus far. Now, we finally have the chance to make a huge impact on the joy in Susan, Perry, Aaron and Evan’s life.

We humbly ask you to consider donating to the “Renaming the Bucket list to F*ck-it list” initiative and help make their vacation everything it can be. Let’s give them the chance to live it up and say “F*ck it!” to worrying about money for once. Let’s give them a chance to take the time they need as a family to focus on what they need: time together.
