This year Restaurants have taken a huge hit.

 

Food costs and gas prices have skyrocketed and sales everywhere have plateaued.

 

My former employer Wuddup Dog, in Cambridge Ontario, traditionally does a free Christmas dinner every year for anyone who needs or just plain wants a home style turkey dinner with all the trimming, but this year that may not be possible.

 

With Covid regualtions and mandates always changing, and the fact that there is no longer dine in available, he fears he may not be able to continue this 6 year traadition.

 

Last year a few other local business joined and they were able to deliver approximately 300 free melals to anyone who needed one. Delivery seems to be the best option again this year as Covid restrictions have fouled up ther plans.

 

Last year the total cost to feed 300 meals was approximatley $5000 combined and with the current financial situation that ALL restaurants and small businesses are facing, this sadly, may not be possible this year.

Todd is a proud person and would most likely never ask for and handouts himself so I am stepping up and hoping we can all help give everyone who needs one a free turkey dinner on Christmas Day and have this tradition continue

As Todd once told me "It doesnt mtter how good your intentions are, you can't acompolish anything if you're starving" and I think that rings true, especially during the holiday seaaon .
