I volunteer at Amigo Fiel Bombarral and need your support to finish our kennel improvement project.

Our shelter dogs have very limited time outside. We want to create outside areas behind their kennel boxes so they can have more space.

Virus situations spread very quickly in kennels so it's important the ground is easy to clean and disinfect. At the moment the area is grass so it's impossible to pick up poo and disinfect. We cannot use concrete because the drainage system for our building runs underneath this area so we have found a solution to use decking materials.

Our small group of volunteers raised enough money to build this outside the one side of our kennels and it was a great success. Now we can clean confidently to make the area virus safe for our dogs and they can move around with more space.

We are asking for your help so we can finish the project behind the second side of our kennels.

Kennel life is very difficult for dogs - it's like a prison. Many dogs develop the habit of spinning and pacing, others just sit. Both are not good mentally and physically. This extra area will make their life more bearable as they get more space to smell and watch the outside world.
