Hi, my name is Richard, and I am fundraising for Bonnie and her wonderful 8-year-old son, Jack.
Bonnie has been living with an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer called glioblastoma, which was first diagnosed in 2020. The tumour is inoperable. In 2021 she underwent the only course of radiotherapy available to try to slow its growth.
Since then, Bonnie has faced the unimaginable reality of living with terminal brain cancer while raising her young son. Despite everything she has endured, Bonnie has continued to put Jack first every single day — making sure he experiences as much joy, love and normality as possible.
In September 2025, Bonnie received devastating news. The cancer had started to grow again. Her only remaining option was an extremely intensive course of chemotherapy. Bonnie bravely chose to go ahead with the treatment, despite the toll it would take on her body.
Sadly, Bonnie has now been told that treatment can no longer continue and there are no further options available to stop the cancer.
With time now incredibly precious, Bonnie’s greatest wish is to take Jack to New Zealand — her home country — as soon as possible so that he can meet and spend time with her elderly mother and family. Bonnie’s mum is unable to travel to the UK, making this trip even more important and urgent.
For Bonnie, this is not just a trip.
It is the chance to show Jack where she grew up, introduce him to the people who love him across the world, and create memories together that he will carry with him for the rest of his life.
Bonnie has done everything she can to give Jack special moments while she is still able. They have made small adventures together — walking to the end of Southend Pier and visiting the Natural History Museum in London — but Bonnie dreams of giving Jack one final, unforgettable journey.
Her hope is to travel to New Zealand with Jack, and if possible, include a magical stop along the way so they can share something truly special together before they arrive.
Every moment now matters.
Any money raised will go towards:
- Flights to New Zealand for Bonnie and Jack
- Travel and accommodation so Bonnie can spend time with her family
- Creating lasting memories during this incredibly difficult time
If there are any funds remaining after travel costs, they will be placed into a trust fund for Jack to support him as he grows up.
Bonnie has shown extraordinary courage through the hardest circumstances imaginable. Now we want to help give her and Jack the time, memories and moments together that every family deserves.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for any support you are able to give.
It truly means the world.
