Hi everyone! We’re Martina Demaio and Alex Byrne, two best friends, actors, and filmmakers based in New York City. We met through our shared passion for storytelling and decided to create something that makes people laugh and feel seen with our first short film, “Dating. It’s Complicated.”

It’s a romantic comedy about first dates, miscommunication, and the messy, hilarious side of love. The story is inspired by our own experiences as artists far from home, navigating relationships, dreams, and chaos in this city that never sleeps.

We’re raising funds to make this film independently, to cover camera and sound equipment, our small crew, and post-production. Every bit of support will help us bring this story to life and share it at festivals around the world.
