Hello, my name is Matthew. Recently, I had the opportunity to showcase my talent on Canada's Got Talent, a dream come true for a small-town boy like me. Despite pouring my heart into my performance, I didn't make it through to the Finale. However, I'm not giving up on my dream of being a big-time singer, and with your support, I believe I can make it happen.

Growing up in the quaint town of Carbonear, Newfoundland, I faced relentless bullying and ridicule for my weight. This wasn't something I could control, as a hip disease made it challenging for me to stay fit. The constant taunts shattered my self-confidence, leaving me feeling unloved and unwelcome. I battled severe depression and anxiety, even questioning the value of my own life.

Despite these challenges, I refused to let my circumstances define me. With 40% hearing loss, chronic back issues, and knee arthritis adding to my struggles, I persevered. In middle school, I found friends who became my lifeline, helping me rebuild my confidence and pursue my dream of becoming a singer.

Music became my escape, my solace. Accepted into music school after high school, I embarked on a journey with The Atlantic Boychoir, traveling the world and honing my skills as an operatic tenor. Through music, I found my voice and a way to connect with others facing similar battles.

Now, I'm ready to record my 12-song album, a collection of songs that tell the story of my struggles and triumphs. This album is more than just music to me; it's a beacon of hope for anyone struggling with mental health or facing adversity. It's a reminder that no matter how dark life may seem, there's always a way to emerge victorious.
