Make My Mom's Life Easier

Donation protected
This is my mom, with my dad: Brian Koch. And he just passed. On the morning of December 4th, 2018. He died in the ICU of stage 4 lung cancer at 12:14 AM, after his heart stopped about 15 times after he was admitted to the emergency room at noon the day before. He was 50. I always meant to make this campaign much much sooner, to help pay for the basic expenses of his regular treatment; the radiation in his brain and the chemo he was scheduled to get the same week he died. Now, my mom, who is a 50-year-old stay-at-home mom, needs to pay for all of these expenses on her own: funeral costs, medication costs, treatment costs, his short stay at the ICU, and much, much more. Unless you can help. With your donation, my mother will be able to live a little easier. My four siblings and I will be able to focus on supporting her emotionally since none of us has stable incomes. With your generous help, we could pay for all of my late father's expenses, my mother's current liver problems, my brother's crippling knee surgery, my education, and even safely close or complete the projects and business my ambitious father so suddenly left behind. Brian was also a US Army veteran, serving 8 years from 1991-1999. He got all the way to Staff Sergeant (E-6) before leaving. After that, he tried many things in life and started a handful of businesses, but before he could achieve his dreams, he struggled with poverty, working two jobs while attending and paying for school, and taking care of my mother and my three older step-siblings.  He was our pillar of strength, and none of us would be where we are today without him. I hope you would find it within yourself to donate to our family. Even something as small as a dollar can help us go a long way. When everything is paid for and taken care of, we will donate the rest of the funds to cancer research. Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in all cancers. It's also one of the most common worldwide due to its hard detectability. We didn't know until it was too late, don't let it be too late for you or a loved one. Spread awareness, ask your doctor and get screened today. It's not a bad case of bronchitis, I promise. Better safe than sorry, right?  Thank you for listening to this fraction of our story, and please, if you can- donate. Our gratefulness for your generosity is unbound. Thank you, Zoey Koch and the rest of the Koch family
