I have the opportunity to attend a travel study program in Ischia, Italy. This is a once-in-a-lifetime prospect that will enrich my educational experience and help me toward my goal of becoming an adolescent neuropsychologist here in Maine.
This course would help me gain a cross-cultural perspective, which is extremely important within the social sciences, and would give me a unique field experience that supersedes my current realm of possibility.
The money - $5400 - would be used for the University of Maine 3-credit course fee for PSY 430, an advanced social psychology course (quoted to me at about $1200), as well as the travel, housing, and course requirements of the Italy program (roughly $4,200).
