CHE COS’ E’ “MAKE MUSIC AROUND THE WORLD”? E PERCHE’?
Make Music Around The World è un progetto nato nel 2018 da un idea di Alberto e Giulia, rispettivamente musicista/producer e
cantante/danzatrice del gruppo Nowhen.
“L’idea è quella di viaggiare per il mondo alla scoperta di nuove culture ed usare il viaggio come fonte di ispirazione per comporre nuova musica.
Nuova musica che non abbia solo il fine di esprimere noi stessi, ma comporre delle canzoni che possano emozionare chi le ascolta, che possano
scuotere, far pensare e magari portare ad un cambiamento.
Canzoni che possano ispirare. Esatto, questo è uno dei principali compiti dell’artista: ispirare.
Perché chi come noi è artista non può limitarsi ad intrattenere; il nostro compito è quello di portare bellezza nel mondo attraverso la nostra arte.
Il viaggio ci ha sempre affascinato, l’idea di poter stare a contatto con culture, persone, natura completamente diverse dalle nostre ci ha sempre fatto sentire un brivido dentro, una voglia irrefrenabile di partire.
L’altro motivo che ci ha spinto a metterci in viaggio è che eravamo completamente esausti dalla vita che vivevamo, completamente schiavi delle
abitudini e di alcune paure inconsce che ci tenevano bloccati in uno stile di vita che, alla fine, non ci piaceva così tanto.
Quindi, ora, possiamo tranquillamente dire che la nostra non è stata una partenza ma una vera e propria fuga.”
PERCHE’ IL SUD EST ASIATICO?
“Abbiamo scelto come prima tappa del nostro viaggio il Sud Est Asiatico per vari motivi: non ci eravamo mai stati, ci “risuonava”, l’abbiamo sognato ed era completamente fuori dalla nostra zona di comfort. Fin dall’inizio l’idea era quella di non passare da un hotel all’atro come dei turisti, ma di vivere il più possibile a contatto con le persone locali; questo ci ha permesso di conoscere la vera cultura e le diverse sfumature che caratterizzano ogni
popolo con cui abbiamo avuto contatti.
Il bello di essere veramente nella mischia è che ci siamo dovuti rimboccare le maniche; ci siamo trovati praticamente costretti ad uscire dalla
nostra zona di comfort e ad affrontare le nostre paure, a vedere i pregiudizi che avevamo. Allora lì, ad un certo punto accade qualche cosa di magico,
le cose iniziano a fluire e l’ispirazione per una nuova musica e una nuova vita inizia ad arrivare.”
CON COSA VIAGGIATE E DOVE REGISTRATE LE CANZONI?
“Il nostro bagaglio si è molto ridotto nel tempo, come in tutte le cose ci sono delle regole da rispettare e anche per i bagagli funziona che per far
entrare qualche cosa di nuovo bisogna lasciar andare qualche cosa di vecchio. In generale questa regola abbiamo capito che vale per molti aspetti
della vita. Quindi, adesso viaggiamo con giusto quello che ci serve per davvero.
Registrare e comporre musica è diventato ancora più entusiasmate perché, in base al posto in cui siamo ci dobbiamo adattare (nel senso
entusiasmante e creativo del termine) e usare gli spazi che abbiamo a disposizione che in questo ultimo anno e mezzo sono stati i più disparati:
dalla casa sulla spiaggia, alla stanzetta nella via più trafficata di tutta la Malesia. :)”

e viaggi.

WHAT “MAKE MUSIC AROUND THE WORLD” IS? AND WHY?
Make Music Around The World is a project that was born in 2018 from an idea of Alberto and Giulia, respectively musician/producer and singer/dancer of the group Nowhen.
“The idea is to travel the world to discover a new culture and to use the journey as a source of inspiration to compose original music.
New music that is bound not only to express ourselves but to write songs that can give emotions to the listeners, that can shake, allow people
to think and, why not, to bring a change.
Songs that can inspire! Exactly, this is one of the most essential tasks of an artist: to inspire.
Because, who is an artist like us, can’t just be an entertainment; our task is to bring beauty into the world through our art.
The journey was always fascinated us, the idea to be in contact with cultures, people, nature totally different from ours, always let us feel
a thrill inside, an irrepressible desire to leave.
The other reason for our journey was that we were totally exhausted about the life we lived, completely slaves of our habits and of some unconscious
fears that blocked us in a lifestyle that we didn’t like so much.
So, now, we can quietly say that our wasn’t a departure but a real escape!”
WHY THE SOUTHEAST OF ASIA?
“We chose South East Asia as the first step for different reasons: we never been there, it “resonated” with us, we dreamed it, and it was totally out
of our comfort zone.
Since the beginning the idea was to not go from a hotel to another as tourists, but to live the more we can in contact with the local people;
this allowed us to know the real culture of every population, and understand the different shades. The good aspect of being into the crowd is that we have to tuck our sleeves; we found ourselves luckily forced to come out from our comfort zone and to face our fears, the prejudices we had.
Then, at some point something magic happens, things start to flow, and the inspiration for a piece of new music and a new life comes.”
DO YOU TRAVEL WITH WHAT? AND WHERE DO YOU RECORD YOU SONGS?
“Our baggage was reduced in this year, as in everything there are some rules and also with luggage is like that to let new things enter you have to let
go the older ones. In general, we understood this is a rule that is okay for many aspects of life. So, now we travel with what is necessary.
To record and to compose music is become more enthusiastic because according to the place we are we have to adapt ourselves
(in an enthusiastically and creatively way): from the house on the beach to the little room in the more busy street in all Malaysia. :)”
HOW WILL YOU SPEND THE DONATION MONEY?
The money we will receive is to sustain the costs of music production in professional studios, video/photos production, promotion, travels.
