Hi, my name is Ellie, Our beautiful mum has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3B lung cancer, and our world has been turned upside down.

Just over a month ago, she was working full-time doing what she loves most — caring for others as an aged care nurse. Anyone who knows Mum knows she has always been the person helping everyone else, putting others before herself no matter what. She has spent her life supporting people in need, working tirelessly, raising us kids as the best mum possible, and being the most incredible nanny to her grandchildren.

Since her diagnosis, Mum has been unable to work and is now facing a long and difficult road of treatment ahead. While she focuses on fighting this cancer with everything she has, the reality is that bills, mortgage repayments, and everyday living expenses don’t stop.

As a family, we are not people who usually ask for help. Mum has always worked hard and supported herself independently, but the financial pressure during this time is overwhelming — especially with the rising cost of living. The last thing we want is for her to carry the stress of finances while going through treatment.

We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden so Mum can focus all her energy on what matters most: beating this cancer.
