Hi x I am Tom the founder of www.mugtom.com

I am an artist and writer with an autism spectrum mind possessed of words. And when I write, I simply add ice cream, stupid humans and a wicked sense of humour.

I live in a posh seaside town called Lytham beside the biscuit tin windmill.

However this was originally not my life plan as I wanted to write books like Roald Dahl and illustrate them in the gift and vision of Quentin Blake.

Then after all my adventures and commissions in Urban Art of drawing all the local pretty shops and landmarks for slave wages, this idea of Mug Tom came along.

The idea is to exclusively market and create a monopoly on mugs. As each vessel features a unique piece of artwork that I draw that has ideas that jump into my head. And the art is accompanied by the specific satire of wording on each mug that is inspired by the comedy of the World. And personalised too.

I first thought. Why not capture every beautiful moment in our lives and every celebratory occasion and stick the words and picture on a mug. And as you can see, such mugs are what happens when your imagination does not grow up.

I then thought of a website domain that is perfect for mugs. So the brand Mug Tom dot com appeared. And it is quite simple. If you want a birthday card, everyone goes to the pig in space or the similar offerings of a dancing pigeon. But Mugs don't even get a second look or national soapbox even if the cottage industry of mugs are everywhere since lockdown.

My idea is to design a brand of beautifully drawn off-the-wall mugs with personalised text. And with a name like Mug Tom dot com, everyone will save it in their head.

The value of these mugs is high. They are perfect as gifts or even as some doodah object d'art fun ornaments. And you can use them like any other drinking vessel. They are microwave friendly and you can stick them in the dishwasher a billion times. And the artwork that I originally draw is as permanent as the stars above. As an independent artist, that makes them collectable and of course a limited edition. And they are perfect for every one of your tea or coffee rituals, so risk it for a biscuit.

If you were offered equity in Moonpig before April 2000 for the price of a bag of chips, you would take it. Mug Tom has to start from somewhere. I know it is not the technology of the Mars Landing but I am brave enough to suck success at something new.
