MAKE MORE MASKS is directly a result of the Covid-19 Health Crisis and the need for PPE masks to protect and slow the spread of illness. We started making and distributing mask before Mayor Garcetti, Governor Newsom and the CDC declared that all Angelenos and Californians must wear masks when they go out. There is research proving the people wearing masks stop the spread of Covid 19 and people who are not wearing masks are endangering others.
Our Goal during the Coronavirus Crisis is to DONATE OUR MASKS to keep our most vulnerable neighbors safe and healthy and to provide protection for our healthcare workers, social workers and food servers!
Your donations directly make this all possible!
Last week, MMM delivered 10,000 masks because of the generosity of our donors. We delivered protection masks to the following organizations and groups -
Planned Parenthood
Downtown Women's Shelter
LA Family Housing
Nurses at Cedars and Kaiser
Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority
Oakland Children's Hospital
Bronx Relief Efforts
California State Workers
Jewish Family Service
We are planning to produce and donate 10,000 more MASKS this week and we need your help!
- These masks come in small and large sizes; they are double lined with a cotton jersey liner and a Techno-Textile exterior (tightly woven fibers) to provide high protection.
- The masks are produced in Downtown Los Angeles by local workers who wear masks and are seated over 6 feet apart. The masks cost $2.00 to produce and are washable for multiple use.
- All funds raised will pay for the material and and the workers who cut, sew and package the masks. There is no cost to deliver the masks to the organizations.
