A recent routine dental checkup turned into a much bigger project. This is the type of situation where I must ask for your support. I need comprehensive dental reconstruction of my smile. This is an emergency and I am asking for any amount you feel called to share. I currently do not have medical insurance that can cover this, nor do I have a credit card.
It's a long and painful story, and a major facet of who I am today and what I have been silently dealing with since 1998. In my early twenties, I experienced chronic complex abuse, resulting in three of my teeth being broken or knocked out. YIKES, I know.
In 2001 I started a long process to place two implants to complete my smile and begin my spiritual and emotional journey of recovery. I’ve come a LONG way since then!
Then, in 2010, my front tooth finally cracked all the way through and I had to undergo another implant process. In 2012, after a few bumps and delays I finally got a new front tooth. As you know these are expensive and I am still paying for this new front tooth.
Recently, while getting my teeth cleaned, we discovered that one of my original implants has lost so much bone that it is extremely loose, and the two proximal teeth are also losing bone and are compromised. The prognosis is that I need to extract these loose teeth and create a multiple tooth bridge.
Yesterday I was visiting my new dentist in Mexico and getting some cavities taken care of and a treatment plan for this extraction and reconstruction. Today my implant tooth is literally hanging by a thread. I was planning to wait for this work, but it seems I need to take care of the first phase this week. I have two important events on my calendar in the next 4 weeks. So, I need to take action THIS week.
Phase II can take place later this Spring.

Travel costs to/from the holistic dentist in Mexico (MUCH cheaper and higher quality) $300
Food $100
Extractions, Bone Grafting, Plasma & Ozone therapy to treat infection (including a temporary denture) $1,800
Missed work $500
Total Cost (including GoFundMe transaction fees)= $2,700
Phase II Includes:
Travel costs to/from the holistic dentist in Mexico $300
Food $100
Multiple tooth permanent bridge $550 per tooth (4-5)
Missed work $500
Total Cost (including fees) = $3100-3650
Total Cost Phase I and Phase II = $Up to $6350
I will know more about the exact cost of Phase II once Phase I is completed and healed. Stay tuned for updates.
I know there is extreme need out there. And it is not easy to ask for help. Thank goodness for fundraising platforms like this one. I have always been one to support other people’s campaigns and will continue to support in the future. I believe we are all ONE and as each of us heals a trauma, we all benefit.
