Music has always been a part of my life. According to my mom, I've been musical since day one. Formal lessons came a bit later, at age 7 with pianist Alex Czerny. Music runs through my family’s history, and it has shaped my life in ways words can’t fully express. That's where music comes in, as it is often the best form of expression.

Every time I sit at the piano, I feel connected to something bigger — and every performance brings me closer to my dream of making music my life’s work.

I’m so thankful to everyone who has helped me come this far, and I'm excited to share an intimate solo concert with you as a way to invite you to support me in taking the next steps on my musical path.

This summer and fall, Mateo will be touring the nation’s top music schools west of the Mississippi, a critical step for him in his music career. He will meet world-renowned teachers, step into music rehearsal and performance spaces to get the vibe, and discover where he might best spend his time as an undergraduate student. However, the cost of travel, lodging, application fees, and audition preparation presents a significant challenge.

Your generous support will allow Mateo to:

• Travel to major conservatories and universities for tours

• Cover application fees

• Work with master instructors to prepare his repertoire

• Maintain his piano for peak performance
