Make Little Hawk Threads MOBILE!
Tax deductible
Every day, children in the Corning-Painted Post School District come to school without many of the basics that allow them to focus on the learning and social growth they’re supposed to experience there. What are these basics? Clean clothing. Personal hygiene products. Coats and jackets.
Little Hawk Threads is a program that collects and distributes - FREE - these items and more to students inside our K-5 school buildings. Currently, the program’s “inventory” is housed centrally and difficult to transport. This means family access to the items is limited and our staff and parent volunteers struggle to keep it organized. A cargo trailer will greatly improve our ability to provide Little Hawk Threads to students at our district’s six elementary buildings, ensuring they all have access to the essentials they need. It will also allow the program to creatively serve communities outside our school buildings that are home to our students.
The Corning-Painted Post School District PTA Council is raising money to purchase the trailer pictured here. The unit price is $9,000 but but a handful of committed supporters have already raised more than half that amount! Can you make a gift now to help us complete this effort and get Little Hawk Threads ON THE ROAD?
