Hello! I’m Liliya Kvatsabaya, a recent graduate from Texas State University and a graphic designer. In just a couple of months, on November 1st, I’ll marry my love, Gavin Gifford, and begin an exciting new chapter in our lives together ❤️.
Our connection was instant when we met two years ago, despite our very different backgrounds. I grew up in Belarus and moved to the U.S. 5 years ago, on the day of Gavin’s birthday (before I even knew him), a coincidence that still amazes both of us. Gavin was born in Texas and raised in California.
We met in San Marcos, Texas, and from the day we met, I knew we shared so many of the same values and goals. For Gavin, family, honesty, and empathy are core values. He is always ready to lend a hand to someone in need, whether it's a stranger, neighbor, or friend. Same goes for me. They say that opposites attract, yet I believe true connection often arises from a shared essence beneath surface differences.
Family means everything to me, and leaving Belarus also meant uncertainty and difficult goodbyes, especially to my grandparents. Due to the current political situation in Belarus, I’m unable to visit my second home, and my grandparents, as much as they want to, will not be able to travel to the U.S. to attend our wedding.
That’s why Gavin and I chose a honeymoon that means the world to us: meeting my grandparents in Prague in the summer of 2026. They’ll be traveling there from Belarus, and it will be my reunion with them. It will also be Gavin’s very first time meeting two of the most important people in my life, a special way to begin our life as husband and wife.
This trip is so much more than travel. It’s about long nights of talking and catching up, hugs I’ve been waiting to give, and the stories that need to be told.
I’m reaching out to ask for your support in making this reunion possible. Any contribution, big or small, will go toward flights, lodging, and meals in Prague. Every bit of kindness brings us closer to making this travel full of special memories.
Thank you to those who donate. You’re not just helping us take a trip; you’re helping us create something priceless: love, connection, and a memory we’ll carry with us for the rest of our lives.
