Hi everyone, our beautiful Eb is in a world of hurt.
Eb came off her beloved horse Nev yesterday. After the shock wore off, Eb realised she couldn't move her legs properly and was in alot of pain. Off to the hospital where things weren't looking great and Eb was scared to death. Luckily, by this morning things were looking better. Doctors have confirmed that Ebony has fractured her tail bone and shattered her pelvis (4 fractures). By some sort of miracle, Eb has avoided any damage to her spinal cord and it is confirmed she will walk again. They already have her sitting up in a chair.
Surgeons from Sydney will visit Eb tomorrow and decide whether or not to operate on her pelvic fractures or allow it to heal on it's own. Surgery, if needed, can hopefully be performed in Wagga but Eb will be required to go to Sydney in 6 weeks for a check up.
Eb is going to be in a brace and out of action for quite some time. We all know Eb and her infectious zest for life. This is going to be a huge battle physically and mentally for our girl and those closest to her. Eb loves life, loves her job, loves her horses and doesn't sit still for too long. The least we can do is ease the financial burden for Eb and her family. Eb is going to need weeks off work at best and unfortunately the bills don't stop. Please, if you're unable to donate, please share this with all of your friends. Eb would give the shirt off her back if you needed it, now is our time to show her how loved she is.
I will post as many updates on Facebook as I can. Unfortunately Eb can't have more than one visitor per day at the hospital so that needs to be reserved for immediate family and close friends, by invite only.
This is the only legitimate GoFundMe campaign for Ebony, organised with permission and guidance by Ebony's immediate family.
