In 8 weeks I'll be travelling to Chiang Mai, Thailand with the greatest corner man in the biz Brendan Kalijundic to compete in my first (probably last) Muay Thai match.
I have fallen in love with kickboxing since meeting Brendan and Matthew Kendall but never thought competing would ever be an option, let alone overseas.
Over the last year I have made some lifestyle changes and committed myself to training. (Credit Gordon McPhail) I am quite aware that I am on borrowed time but my heart says go and my body is holding up better than I deserve after abusing it so badly for so many years.
Nothing irks me more than asking for help for myself but this journey is an important one to me. There is still some fight left in me that doesn't allow me to sleep.
I'm looking for sponsors and any fundraising opportunities to help ease some of the cost of training and travel. Traveling to Asia at this time of year is brutal.
