Make Jovan's Africa Dream a Reality

It's not every day that you have the opportunity to help inspire, educate, and facilitate personal growth within a young person - I am here asking for your contributions to fulfill my son Jovan's wish of traveling on an educational trip to Botswana, Africa. This journey would be a dream come true for him.
Jovan Alcantara has been selected by the CIEE Program to partake in a trip to the Botswanan Wildlife Conservation. Out of over 10,000 applications, Jovan was one of 20 students selected for this trip, due to his outstanding academic performance. On this trip, students take courses at the University of Botswana in addition to volunteering and going on unique excursions designed to help students get to know community members. Together, these pieces give students a solid understanding of contemporary Botswana culture and its role in southern Africa.
As a young person growing up in New York City and New Jersey, Jovan has not experienced the wildlife and beauty of an environment such as Africa. Jovan is a lifelong friend of animals and dreams of seeing wild animals in their natural habitat and learning more about different cultures.
Our family does all that we can to provide Jovan with a the tools he needs to grow and suceed in life, but there are still things that are outside of our ability. I am sure we can all remember a turning point in our lives, where we accepted help from others and it greatly influenced our life path. I truy feel that this oppotunity will change my son's perspective on life and set him own a motivated course for success.
