My name is Jamie, and I’m Marilyn’s stepmother. Her father and I have watched her pour her heart into every song since childhood. Now she’s reached a finalist on Australian Idol—a once-in-a-lifetime moment that will shape her future forever. Whether she wins or loses, we think this is truly amazing.

Why This Moment Matters

Unfortunately, we can not either. Otherwise, we would be supporting her dream financially all the way to the top.

So this is where we are asking her friends, family, and people who had a dream and got to experience it to help us help Marilyn support her dream.

We believe every bit of support, big or small, can bridge the gap between her hometown in Kalgooorlie and that idol stage. Your help means she won’t lose this chance because of life that drums into our heads. This is not realistic and then of all the costs to get there.
