Help baby Steele's family fight HLHS

Hello! It seems our family is getting good at asking for help when we need it.

Alura, my brothers girlfriend, is currently in the last trimester of her pregnancy with their second child, a little boy.

In November, she was called following her anatomy scan to be told she needed to come to Vancouver to have a fetal echo, one of the baby's heart chambers was underdeveloped.

While here, the baby was diagnosed with HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome). This is a severe defect that essentially means he is missing his left ventricle entirely.

When he is born, he will have a few short moments with his mom and dad before being taken almost instantly for his first of three heart surgeries.

In the strangest set of circumstances, we will all be living at Ronald McDonald House at the same time and can offer each other emotional support.

But as you can imagine, the financial strain of being away from home is a very real challenge.

Alura is currently a stay at home mom of their first child Oakleigh and Brody does fire wood for a living. The winter definitely isn't the best season for brody and being self employed leaves no option for EI.

Please consider helping this sweet little family in their time of need. I know our family keeps seeming like they constantly needs help, it just seems we keep being dealt these cards that force humility.
