OUR STORY:

What's up guys?! Thanks in advance for supporting our Goat Walkabout campaign and reading our story!

Me, my son Jimmy Junior (16yrs) and 17 goats are on a mission to heal others from PTSD, anxiety and depression with a program called Goat Walkabouts! My name is Jim Naron and in April 2017 we created a goat yoga business called Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga, LLC.

We began the company working with local farms and we even invested in a couple of companion goats of our own! Their names are Rocky and Brutus.  We made partnerships with the farms that allowed certain qualified orphans and rescued goats to participate in our goat yoga program.

Fast forward nearly 4 years, thousands of guests and 17 goats later. We have helped many people find happiness. 

We've since worked with many farms and ranches in Colorado and have had several neat media opportunities.

We've survived one of the greatest economic challenges  this country has ever seen and although we held it all together, we have lost so much.  Our nest egg has long gone and we are starting over. In the face of challenge, we don't back down.. This is just the next stage. 

Many of our guests attending goat yoga lessons asked the same question:

"What happens to the goats when they get too big for goat yoga!?"


THE START OF GOAT WALKABOUTS:

One day Jimmy Junior and I decided to take our 4 year old Brutus and his little brother Rocky out for a hike in the Colorado foothills at a place called South Valley Park. We found that they liked being outdoors. This hikes were so fun, we thought this could be the start of their new life journey after goat yoga. 

I bought additional tack because I was so inspired by our hike and I started training the goats with a shepherds hook. I discovered the hook can be used for protection against predator attacks, which developed an entire defense system. The hikes were organizing and I felt safe to hike with others. This is was amazing because we could share the experience.

Jimmy and I were bonding even more as son and father, plus we were bonding with the goats. 

It wasn't difficult to find people to hike with us because everyone wanted to go!


One day I decided to call them "Goat Walkabouts ", which simply put, is a magical companion hike with goats! 

We think this idea is awesome and can help others just like equine therapy but we could sure use some financial help getting it started.
