Make GayRidge Pride 2023 Amazing!

Hi everyone! I’m LJ, one of the co-directors of GayRidge. Our mission is to help build community among queer people and allies in southern Brooklyn. Over the last year we held our first pride event, hosted game nights, dance parties, coffee meet-ups, and more!

Last year at GayRidge Pride we expected around 100 people but we ended up getting over 800! We were able to make it great because we had a lot of people who volunteered their time and talent. This year, we want to make it bigger and better and pay people fairly for their time and effort to make the day special.

We are asking our community to help us raise $2,000 so we can pay for live entertainment, provide games and crafts, provide an ASL interpreter, and purchase equipment necessary to make setting up and moving things around easier on those volunteering.
