Make Forest's Celebration of Life Unforgettable

Hello everyone, my name is Kim and I was a close friend of Ralph, though most of us knew him online simply as "Forest". Losing him was a massive blow to our online community and his family. We're all still feeling the impact of unexpectedly losing such an incredible individual.

To keep things brief, rather than a traditional funeral service, his family will be hosting a celebration of life on the weekend of Forest's birthday, July 25, to share stories and memories of him. The service will be held Sunday, July 27. Many of us made plans to attend, but unfortunately, the current environment and other factors have made it difficult for many of us who wish to attend to do so.

If I had my way, I would make it possible for everyone to be in attendance who would like to be, to show his loved ones just how big his reach and influence was on the world. That being said, there are a handful of individuals that I strongly believe deserve to be there. This GoFundMe is being arranged to aid them in making it happen.

All proceeds raised will be allotted to covering travel expenses such as flights, hotel accommodations, and meals. At this time, there are five individuals that I'm benefitting, but more may be added should others come forward and express their interest in attending. I am making my own travel arrangements, and will not be using ANY of the funds for my own expenses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to make this event a memorable one for both his friends and family, and perhaps offer some closure to those still seeking it.

Should there be excess funds after the event, any remainder will be donated to friends with financial needs. If there's one thing Forest taught me, it's to take care of others when the means are available.

Current known expenses are as such:

Two guests: $750 airfare

Three guests: $500 airfare

Lodging for five guests: $1,000

Rental Vehicle: $500
