For her birthday this year, my niece Firdaous has one heartfelt dream: to go on Umrah.
And if you know Firdaous, you know that when she sets her heart on something, she gives it everything she has.
Firdaous is a bright, determined, and fierce 10 year old girl who consistently shines in her Islamic and Quranic studies at her masjid in Toronto, where she has been first in her class multiple times. Her love for learning, faith, and growth inspires everyone around her including me, her aunt.
This Umrah opportunity is being organized through her masjid, and the trip is scheduled for November 2nd–12th — making it even more special because her birthday falls right in the middle, on November 3rd. What more meaningful birthday gift could there be than a spiritual journey to the holy cities?
She is already doing her part to make this dream happen — spending her days selling lemonade and snacks outside her home, fundraising little by little with determination and a big heart.
As her Tata (aunt), I want to help support her in reaching her goal of $3,395 CAD and turn this into the most unforgettable birthday and spiritual experience for her. I truly believe this trip will stay with her for a lifetime and deepen the beautiful connection she already has with Islam and Allah.
If you are able to give — no amount is too small — you would be helping a hardworking young girl experience something deeply meaningful. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to us.
May every contribution be doubled on your scale. Thank you for helping us make Firdaous’ birthday dream come true
