Make Edinburgh Fringe Dreams Come True
Donation protected
Edinburgh Fringe Festival and World Burlesque Games are this summer!
I never compete, and swore I never would- but I decided to take a chance and believe in my ability and ended up being accepted to compete in The UK with World Burlesque Games! This will be my very first competition Festival, and while I don't expect to win, I hope I can make you all proud!
Following that is Edinburgh Fringe, which will be a part of the same joureny- I have the honor of emceeing and performing in 3 shows per night for the entire month-long Fringe the month of August! If you know anything about Fringe festivals, this is the biggest on earth, and an absolute career maker for artists fortunate enough to be selected to perform on these global stages.
We all know that everything has a cost, even dreams. While the cabaret industry in Los Angeles took a major hit this year with wildfires causing venue closures and show cancelations, it has been incredibly difficult to put away funds to cover the cost of these incredible international events.
What your donation helps with:
*Transit costs: Flight, trains, and ubers hauling over 200 pounds of production and performance luggage.
*Lodging: All artists for these events, prestigious as they are, are responsible for their own lodging. While a lodge has been secured, it is still a whopper of a fee to cover up front considering we are also battling several major concerts restricting local lodging options and causing the price to skyrocket. Many artists are already canceling their stage appearances due to lack of options for housing, which is devastating to see.
*Food: Luckily, Scotland has fabulously affordable options for dining on a budget, and keeping fed properly as a diabetic is crucial to being able to meet the physical demands this Festival requires- running on foot from venue to venue takes a lot out of me, and I've got to stay on top of keeping myself nourished.
With over two decades of international headlining, producing, and teaching my craft to other artists, student pride alliances, and creating work for others- it's time to ask for a little help.
Your support and generosity mean the world to me, and I truly hope I can conquer these huge events in a way that makes you proud and happy to be in my corner.
Thank you all for considering this fundraiser, and I can't wait to shine on such a huge international stage!
