The Northern Arizona University Marching Band has been invited to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025!! This is more than just a trip— it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for my daughter, Coryn, and the band to showcase their talent, experience the honor of performing in a nationally televised parade, and create lifelong memories together.

My daughter is a music education major and hopes to lead collegiate-level bands someday. She also hopes to inspire special needs students to be immersed in the world of music. My daughter has watched this parade since she was a baby. No matter where we were, she always made it a priority to watch the parade on Thanksgiving Day. As a little girl, she said she would be in that parade someday, and now she has the opportunity to make that dream happen. She has worked so hard to get here and dedicated her whole life to music. She is exactly what a future music teacher should be: passionate about what she is teaching and wanting to share that with future students. This is exactly the kind of opportunity that she has worked so hard for. Only 10 high school and college marching bands are chosen each year. That is 10 total!!
