During my time in Arusha, Tanzania, I got the chance to be part of something truly special: a small daycare called Furahia Mtoto Foundation.
From the very first day, the children touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect. They have so little, yet they are full of joy, kindness, and warmth. Their laughter fills the room, even when there is not enough food, not enough materials, and often not even basic hygiene supplies.
This daycare is a safe place for them — a place where they can learn, play, and simply be children.
I want to support them in a meaningful way. With your help, I will provide:
* Nutritious food
* Hygiene products
* Toys
* Notebooks, pens, and colors so they can learn and be creative
Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly into improving their daily lives.
This is not just about donations — it’s about giving these children a chance to grow, to feel safe, and to keep their beautiful smiles.
I have seen their strength, their happiness, and their love with my own eyes and learned so much from them. Now I want to give something back.
Thank you for being part of this!
Additional information: The Furahia Mtoto Foundation is a day care centre and preschool for children up to 6 years of age and was founded in 2018 by Cosmas William Ngira. Families who come from difficult backgrounds, such as single and/or unemployed parents, have the opportunity to bring their children to Furahia Mtoto Foundation. The day care centre offers a safe and family-friendly alternative where the children are cared for while the families have the opportunity to go to work and earn income. In addition, the children learn social behaviour among their peers, receive regular meals (which are not always provided at home) and are taught English. Also, attendance at the institution is free of charge, parents do not have to pay fees. As Furahia Mtoto is a non-governmental organisation, it relies on donations to pay for food, teachers’ salaries, teaching materials, etc.
