Brooks lives with Smith-Kingsmore Syndrome, an incredibly rare genetic disorder, along with autism and other medical challenges that affect nearly every part of his daily life. Life isn’t always easy for him, but one thing that never changes is the joy he finds in Florida State football. Win or lose, the Seminoles give him something to look forward to, something to smile about and makes him happy!
THANKS to the incredible generosity of the amazing people at Madison Social in Tallahassee, Brooks will be attending the North Carolina vs. Florida State game on November 21. We are beyond thankful for their kindness and for helping make Brooks’ dream come true. After sharing Brooks’ story on Facebook and TikTok, so many people reached out asking how they could help. Because of those messages, we decided to create this fundraiser…not because we expect anyone to give, but because so many kind people wanted a way to be part of this special experience.
We live about five hours from Tallahassee, and traveling with a child who has complex medical and special needs takes a little more planning than most family trips. Between medications, routines, sensory needs, and the extra care required throughout the journey, it’s not always easy—but seeing the excitement on Brooks’ face makes every mile worth it. Any donations will go directly toward making this trip possible, including:
Hotel accommodations, Fuel and travel expenses, Meals while we’re away, and other travel costs that come with caring for a child with special needs.
If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser or keeping Brooks in your prayers would mean just as much to our family.
