Support Blanqui's Healing Journey
Donation protected

Strength, wisdom, beauty, passion, dedication to serving the underserved... these are some of the traits that come to mind when we think about Blanca (Blanqui) Martini. Yet, now, she needs your support, strength, and call to serve. Blanqui has been diagnosed with cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. While Blanqui's life has shown us all how to serve others and to treasure underserved cultures, her current diagnosis has depleted her savings and left her unable to continue working while she is undergoing treatment.
AML is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow, with excess immature white blood cells. Blanqui's diagnosis has a very promising outlook, but she needs our help to get through the healing process. You can help Blanqui afford her chemotherapy treatment, hospitalization, medications, and living expenses while she heals. Blanqui has started treatment and will be in and out of the hospital approximately until June or July of 2021.
Blanqui's passion is teaching, so not being able to help her students while undergoing treatment is very difficult for her. Many approach cancer treatment as a battle or a fight, but you know she approaches life differently. Blanqui has embraced her diagnosis and is on a healing journey to learn and gain wisdom. She needs your help so that she can get healthy and help her students even more than she already does.
In addition to your financial help, Blanqui wants to hear from you! While Blanqui has her family in Guatemala City, she does not have her dear friends from Lake Atitlán (her favorite place on Earth), from Chicago and family outside of Guatemala near her. Call and message Blanqui Martini on WhatsApp at [phone redacted]-7498. Say hello, tell her a joke, and plan the party for when she gets well and can out-dance us all!
