Benny has a condition known as Quadriplegic Spastic Cerebral Palsy. This effects all four of his limbs, and his entire body. With this type of cerebral palsy it effects his posture, strength, and balance that make normal every day tasks harder for him. He absolutely adores movement of any kind! He has his gait trainer that allows him to take some independent steps, however he still doesn’t have the endurance to use that for long distances or longer periods of time. Benny was fitted for a medical stroller that will help keep his body supported to allow him to continue to thrive. While in the stroller he is well supported allowing the rest of his body to function better, and allow greater range of movement of his upper body. The traditional stroller doesn’t have the support that Benny needs from the Medical Stroller. We are trying to fundraise the amount of $2,200 to help cover the amount that insurance won’t cover for the stroller.
