This is my sweet Bailey girl! She was fighting kidney failure. She has unfortunately succumbed to Lyme. She crossed over the rainbow bridge on September 20th. This donation will help pay for the vet bill that kept her alive in her last few weeks of life. She was very strong fighter. The sweet vet in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, told me that this was the harshest case of Lyme nephritis he has ever seen while having a dog so energetic as she was in her last days of being in earth. Bailey was diagnosed with Lyme disease in March, and this has caused her kidney to not work properly. Lyme disease can lay dormant in some dogs and be very harmful to others; Bailey is one of those unfortunate few. Unfortunately, she is going into kidney failure and has lots of vet bills. It would mean so much to us if any help could be put towards her bills so she can have a beautiful celebration of life. Bailey loved being in Maine; she loved hiking and swimming in the river with her friend Lola. My boyfriend and I are going to drive her to Maine so her last few steps will be in the mountains where she knew and loved. We will be driving 24 hours with her; she loves road trips. If any of you had the chance of meeting my sweet Bailey, then that truly is the best blessing. She is the kindest, caring, and most protective dog I have ever met. It has been the best experience of my life to be able to give her an amazing 6 years on this planet, although I wish it could be longer. I wish I could be her mom for the rest of my life, but with the greatest unconditional love comes the greatest goodbye. Thank you all so much.
