It's no secret the past 9 months have not been easy. Between my brother Patrick's catastrophic accident and now my dad's very serious (yet still-unknown) illness, my mom has had to deal with things most could never imagine.  

My dad has been out of work for almost a month since being hospitalized and the last thing I want her to do is worry about finances. 

My mom would never ask for help from anyone, but I think this would be a nice holiday surprise after such a difficult year.
