High students in Liberian continue to struggle on the West African Examination Council (WAEC) test as a whole and in particular on the Mathematics Section. As a mathematics educator with nearly 30 years of experience teaching both in Liberia and the USA, I developed a YouTube Channel to assist Liberian students prepare for the WAEC Mathematics Exam.
Many students and teachers in Liberia have found the video instruction helpful. They have however complained about limited access due to lack of financial resources to access the web or the poor netwoork connectivity in some area in lIberia. The students and teachers have asked me about making the video lessons available in the form of DVDs.
It is in response to the many request we have received that we are launching this campaign to prepare 125 sets (each full set contains 8 DVDs) of DVD to ship to Liberia no later than the 31st of March 2017. The DVDs will be distributed throughout Liberia.
The total cost for the production, burning and shipping of the DVD is $5,000.00. We developed and researched the materials and video. We are not asking for any payment, We spent over 200 hours preparing and recording the videos. We consider our work as a contribution to our society.
