Make an old war veteran very happy

Hi, I'm Yvonne and I'm fundraising for my 99 year old father. He is a war veteran and used to be an air gunner on Lancaster bombers during the war. Later becoming a pilot. He flew many missions including Operation Manna.

When he went off to begin his time in the RAF in the early 1940's, he left his prize possession of his collection of Hornby railway in a box under his bed at home. When he came home on leave, he found out that his mother had given it away. Still to this day aged 99, this story upsets him when he tells it. He is now house bound and still talks about his Hornby Railway set.

I would love to recreate this set again for him and give him a huge amount of pleasure in his life again, for whatever time he now has left. This is why I'm creating this fund raiser ......... Let's make an old man very happy
